AL.Berlin

AL.Berlin is a Berlin-based cultural collective active since 2019, centring music and art from the SWANA region (South West Asia and North Africa) and its diasporas. Through festivals, concerts, and conversations, we amplify SWANA and Global Majority voices, connecting artists with Berlin’s diverse audiences and creating spaces of joy, resistance, and cultural pride. Our name, AL (آل), meaning both “the” and “family” in Arabic, reflects our vision: a chosen family of sounds, ideas, and solidarities. What began as a single event in 2019 has grown into a movement, collaborating locally and internationally to bring culture, politics, and music together to imagine new worlds.
