𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿: 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀

20 EU-funded cultural organisations have initiated an Open Letter addressing the digital ethics dimension of the Creative Europe programme—and Reset! is a part of it. 

In a context where the ethics and monopolistic market position of social media platforms and corporate-owned digital tools have become a serious matter of concern, we request that the European Commission and its Creative Europe funding programme, take these threats into consideration and take a leading role in tackling them.

Reset! and 20+ European cultural and media players, networks, cooperation projects, and platforms request that European institutions consider this important moment as a shift, and to take the due action to promote digital independence in the European cultural and media context.

We, cultural and media players who benefit from EU funds, ask the European Commission and its Creative Europe funding programme to take the threats caused by the growing power of digital capitalism represented by tech giants into due consideration, and to take a leading role in tackling them.
