Urban.koop

Urban.koop is an Istanbul-based urban studies cooperative working at the intersection of culture, community and urban space. We develop participatory urban projects, community-led cultural initiatives and interdisciplinary research in collaboration with local communities, municipalities, civil society organizations and international partners. Our work focuses on culture-led regeneration, community-managed cultural spaces, public participation and social resilience. By connecting local knowledge with international collaboration, we aim to strengthen independent cultural ecosystems and create more inclusive, democratic and sustainable cities.
