Sende

Sende is a rural coliving and creative hub in a tiny Galician village with more cows than people. Since 2013, we have been transforming abandoned stone houses into places where people can live, work and make things together. So far, more than 5,000 people from 60+ countries have stayed in our 20-inhabitant village. We run cultural programmes, art residencies, training courses and international projects for young people, creatives and cultural professionals, educators and changemakers, social entrepreneurs and remote workers. Some come to develop their art projects, others to test an idea for a rural business, look more critically at the media they use every day and experiment with low-tech ways of communicating, find ways to prevent wildfires or explore conflict transformation and peacebuilding. The village is where we try these ideas in practice, learn from them and see how they could be adapted to other places and communities.
