Ankali
Ankali is an electronic music venue situated in the peripheral part of Vršovice, a quarter lying in a safe distance away from the busy centre of Prague. The founders’ idea to build a club was born from a need to create a permanent and independent place for locals.
The club’s programming features club nights with DJ and live performances by foreign and local artists, but includes concerts, listening sessions and exhibitions occasionally as well. Since its opening, the club has been progressing towards a wider and more diverse range of contemporary electronic music.
The club has been expanded in the summer 2020 with a new cultural and community space called Planeta Za, which includes a small dancefloor, listening room, radio space, few artist studios and a spacious garden. The space allows for an even wider range of cultural activities, including workshops, talks, flea markets and movie screenings.
